What does a doctor's website cost in India?

Almost nobody in this market puts a number on a page, because the number is the thing they would rather discuss on a call. Here are ours, what moves them, and what you are still paying in year two.

Single doctor practice

₹15,000

One page, written by us, covering who you are, what you treat and how to book. Online 48 hours after your photos and details reach us.

Multi-doctor clinic

₹25,000

Up to ten pages, with a profile for each consultant, treatment pages and a department structure.

Multi-location or specialist

₹50,000

Up to twenty pages, online booking with slot management, and payments taken on the site.

All three include the content written for you, one year of hosting and SSL, and one year of technical support. None of them is a deposit against a bigger number later.

What actually moves the number

Those are starting prices. What moves them is how much there is to build, and how much of it only you can supply.

Page count
The largest single driver. A one-page site and a ten-page site are not the same job even with an identical design, because every page needs its own copy, its own structure and its own reason to exist in search.
How many doctors
Each consultant needs a written profile, a usable photograph and a qualifications line accurate enough to publish. Five consultants is five rounds of review, not one round with five names in it.
Treatment pages
The pages that actually bring patients in from search, because patients search for the treatment rather than for the doctor. How many you need depends entirely on your specialty, and it is the question we spend most of the first call on.
Whether you need real booking
An enquiry form or WhatsApp booking is in every price. Genuine appointment booking, with slots, availability and confirmations, is a configured third-party system, and it is most of the distance between ₹25,000 and ₹50,000.
Whether you need payments
Taking a fee online means a gateway account KYC'd to your clinic and a checkout that does not lose people halfway. Rarely worth it for a single-doctor practice, often the whole point for a diagnostic centre.
A second language
Marathi or Hindi beside English is not a translation task bolted on at the end. It is a second copy of every page to write, review and keep current.
Whether you have photographs
The one item that can cost nothing or cost a shoot. If you have usable pictures of the clinic and the team, the number does not move at all. If you do not, this is what delays you, more often than the build does.

What is never included, at any price

Five things sit outside the build price at every tier. You should see them now rather than on an invoice.

Photography
Billed by the photographer rather than by us. We give you the exact shot list before the shoot so you are not paying for pictures the site will never use, and we can recommend someone.
Your domain, about ₹1,200 a year
Paid directly to the registrar, and registered in your name on day one. It appears as a separate line rather than inside our invoice for a reason, which is the subject of a whole section below.
Ad spend
Google takes the budget and we take only the management fee. What you spend is yours to set, raise and stop at any point, and it never passes through our account on the way.
Payment gateway transaction fees
The gateway takes a cut of every payment. That rate is set by Razorpay, PayU, Cashfree or whoever you open the account with, it differs by payment method, and it is charged to your account and never to ours. Confirm the current rate with them before you build a plan around it.
Booking and messaging subscriptions
Anything that books slots or sends reminders runs on a specialist platform with its own monthly fee, invoiced to the clinic. We pick one that suits your practice, set it up around your hours and transfer it into your name.

What you pay in year two

Year one is the build price and nothing else. Hosting, SSL and support for anything that stops the site working are all inside it. From the second year, two lines remain, and both are paid to the provider rather than to us.

Hosting and SSL about ₹4,000 / year
Domain renewal about ₹1,200 / year
To keep a clinic website online about ₹5,200 / year

That is the whole of it. No automatic renewal, no maintenance contract you have to remember to decline, and no invoice from us unless you ask for something. If you want us to keep handling technical support past the first year we will quote for it, and most practices find they do not need to.

Why the ₹5,000 website is the expensive one

You can get a website for ₹5,000, and plenty of doctors have. It is worth understanding exactly what is different, because the gap is not really design quality and we are not going to pretend it is.

  1. 01
It is a template, and you are not the only one using itWhich is survivable on its own. It stops being survivable when the patient comparing three clinics in your area recognises the same layout on two of them.
  2. 02
Nobody writes itYou get a structure and a request for your content. Most doctors never find the evening to send it, and the site sits half-built for a year with placeholder paragraphs about compassionate care still in place.
  3. 03
Nobody has read the advertising codeThe template ships with a testimonials carousel and a before-and-after block, because those convert well for a gym. On a clinic site they are the two items most likely to cross the line, as the rules on whether doctors can advertise in India set out in detail.
  4. 04
Your Google Business Profile is not touchedFor most clinics the Business Profile brings in more patients than the website does. A build at that price does not go near it, which means the cheapest thing that would have worked is the thing nobody did.
  5. 05
The domain is registered in the agency's nameThe first four are annoyances. This one is a trap, and it is common enough that you should check yours today.

The domain trap, and how to check for it

If the agency registered your domain on their own account, they own your address. Not the files, the address. Everything printed on a card, everything Google has indexed, every patient who has bookmarked you, all of it points at a name that is not yours.

Leaving that agency then means persuading them to release it, or starting again on a new domain and giving up whatever search position you had built. It is usually not malice. It is simply faster to register a domain on an account that already exists. The effect is the same either way, and it surfaces at precisely the moment you want to leave.

Check it now: run a public WHOIS lookup on your domain and see whose name is on the registrant record, or ask your agency to add you as the registrant contact and see how the conversation goes. We register yours in your name on day one, which is exactly why it shows up on this page as a separate ₹1,200 line rather than disappearing into our invoice.

What ongoing work costs, and when it is worth it

₹50,000/month

Optional, month to month, and entirely separate from the build. It covers ads management, SEO, content, Business Profile management and monthly reporting, which is the full list on our main page for doctors and clinics.

It makes sense when you are trying to grow into a market rather than simply be findable in it: a new location, a new specialty, or a practice competing with three others on the same road.

Most single-doctor practices do not need one in year one, and we will say so on the call. A good site and a properly set up Business Profile will do more in the first twelve months than a retainer would, at a fraction of the cost. Taking a retainer from a practice that did not need one buys us a client who cancels in month four and tells other doctors why.

FAQ

Questions about the money

Yes, completely. The domain is registered in your name on day one, the files are yours, and nothing is held back against a future payment. If you leave, the site leaves with you. The only thing that does not transfer is our hosting account, because that is an account with a provider rather than an object we can hand over, and your site is static HTML that will run on any host you move it to.

Then you move. Your domain is in your name, so your address goes with you and your search position is not reset. The site is static HTML, so any developer can read it without learning a framework or buying a licence. There is no database to export, no page builder subscription to keep paying and no proprietary theme that stops working the month you stop paying us. The thing that most often traps a clinic on a website it has outgrown is the domain sitting in somebody else's account, and that one is settled on day one.

It is a starting price, and for a single doctor who wants a one-page site it is usually also the final one. It moves when the work moves: more pages, more consultant profiles, real booking, online payments, a second language. We quote the whole number before we start rather than discovering it halfway through, and the seven things that change it are listed on this page.

Because the first year is built into the price rather than given away. A static site is cheap to host, since there is no database and no application server waiting to be asked for something, and about ₹4,000 a year is close to what the hosting genuinely costs. We would rather you paid the provider directly from year two than have us mark it up and send you an annual invoice for something you could buy yourself.

Tell us the practice, get the number

Twenty minutes on a call. How many doctors, how many treatments, whether you need booking and whether you have photographs. That is enough for us to quote the whole thing rather than a range.

If the honest answer is that ₹15,000 is all you need, we will say that too. You can also just send us the question directly.

We use your details only to reply about this quote.
